About the Trainer
Prathamesh D Popat is a Lawyer, a Senior Mediator and a Senior Mediation Trainer. He has vast experience as a mediator & mediation trainer, spanning over two decades!
Prathamesh finished his mediator’s trainings in India by 2003, when he got empanelled on the Bombay High Court’s first Mediators’ Panel. Thereafter, he proceeded abroad for further orientations and trainings to the US, Europe as also Australia, wherefrom he later received Accreditation in 2007. Since 2003, Prathamesh has been upskilling himself annually in some or the other institution across 5 continents. These trainings have been of a wide variety, like several Basic & Advanced trainings and a few ‘Train-the-Trainer’ workshops. These endeavours not only support Prathamesh in keeping abreast of several developments in the field, but also help understand the different approaches to ‘mediation training’. Hence, the trainings conducted by Prathamesh incorporate several best practices from across the globe.

Being empanelled with several organisations including the Bombay High Court, Prathamesh does private, Pre-Lit as well as court-annexed mediations of a varied nature. He has also authored a book and several articles, including contributions to international publications (books as well as journals).

On invitation, Prathamesh conducts Introductory, Basic as well as a variety of Advanced workshops in the field of Mediation at courts, colleges, chambers of commerce, law firms and other organisations.
